Hope, not a word usually associated with counselling. However, many people seek it and find it through counselling. I believe all of us want to feel more hopeful and happy in our lives.

Welcome to Quality Counselling and Therapy, serving Guelph and Kitchener areas, with offices in Fergus and Elora.  Together, we will help you recapture your hopes and dreams, whether you are a couple, adolescent, family, or an individual.

Quality Counselling and Therapy provides couples and relationship counselling, adolescent and family therapy and individual counselling.  If you are unsure of where to turn, or how to change a situation, we can offer positive direction and insight into how to make your life better.

Tamara McCarty, MSW, RSW has worked with couples, adolescents and families, and individuals for over 25 years.  She holds a Masters of Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University, and is registered with both the College of Social Work, and the Ontario Association of Social Workers.  She has worked for a hospital as a counsellor/therapist for many years.  In addition, she is an affiliate counsellor/ therapist for employee and family assistance programs.

Marriage/Relationship Counselling

Each relationship is unique and requires original strategies and insights.  My approach is to help you decide the type of relationship you want, and work with you to help you build it.  Many times, couples want the same thing – closeness, a partner they can share with, love and even have fun with.

Adolescent & Family Counselling

Does this question ring true to you? If so, it doesn’t have to, there is hope.  It may seem like you are living on the side of a volcano – never knowing when, if, or how big the eruption would be.

Individual Counselling

Personal growth and exploration of who we are can bring us great peace and serenity.  Life may feel like a rollercoaster sometimes.  However, through counselling and therapy, individuals can start to choose the “rides” or events and situations that they line up to participate in.
